You’ve done everything what people were suggesting. You changed your eating habits, got rid of 1000 calories per day, and thought that you should lose no less then 2 pounds per week with such a deficit in calories. Well it’s not that simple to lose weight, it’s not just the exercises and the calorie deficit. It’s everything around you! Here are 3 reasons why you can’t lose weight.

One of the most crucial reasons why you can’t lose weight is because you’re no eating healthy enough. Sure many of you can say that they eat a lot of healthy foods and that they live a healthy life. But some people don’t realize that diet sodas and different kinds of whole-wheat bread are not healthy foods, they’re just low carbohydrate meals, that will make you want to eat even more. Simply lowering your calorie intake is not enough, you should also eat real healthy food like all kinds of vegetables, fruits etc.

The second crucial part is that you may be under too much stress at this point in your life. It may not be as huge as a death of someone close to you, but everyday stress like traffic jam, boss shouting at you because of deadlines, financial stress or your boyfriend is giving you a hard time. There are many different kinds of stresses that can ruin your weight loss. When your body is under stress, it releases a special chemical that lowers your metabolism and begins to save fat for future, because it thinks that you’re in danger. So try to get rid of all those little things that irritate you, or if a boss shouts at you, relax, count to ten, it’s not the end of the world. Keep it cool.

The third, most important part is that people tend to eat a lot of carbohydrates when they start their diet. Eating a lot o sugar and carbs will make your weight loss not so effective (or even ineffective). You should consider lowering the amount of sugar you eat and if you’re new to weight loss you should skip fruits in the beginning of your weight loss journey.

So here are some tips why you can’t lose weight even though you’re trying really hard.
